TrueVig finds these opportunities by comparing sportsbook odds to true probabilities derived from sharp bookmakers like Pinnacle, which is widely regarded as the sharpest book in the world.

We use Pinnacle's odds as our primary benchmark. Pinnacle is known as the sharpest sportsbook in the world - they accept the largest bets and maintain the tightest lines. We remove their built-in vig (margin) using 5 different devigging methods to derive "true" probabilities for each outcome. We then compare every other sportsbook's odds against these true probabilities. When another book offers better odds than the true probability suggests, that's a +EV opportunity.
